ZaiLab

To raise awareness for a treatment for myasthenia gravis, we created “Mighty Pal” — a cheerful, encouraging mascot symbolising regained strength without evoking fear or negativity.

ZaiLab is a research-driven, publicly listed biopharma company. They needed an educational concept that showed support for patients experiencing muscle weakness while avoiding clinical coldness or anxiety-driven messaging. We designed both Mighty Pals and Weary Pals to illustrate symptoms in a gentle, humorous way.

We produced animated videos and illustrative content for events, using simple shapes and expressive motion to communicate capability, resilience and optimism. Physical blind-box toys were created as special gifts for community and movement officials to further boost public awareness. The characters helped humanise science and brought warmth to a serious health topic.
